OUR BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Our board of trustees meet formally every 3 months and informally as required, providing governance for the charity Greenpath Ventures against our stated objectives.

The Charity's stated objectives are:

  1. Advance healthy recreation by providing outdoor facilities and activities particularly, but not exclusively, for those who by reasons of disability are socially or economically disadvantaged.
     

  2. Advance the education in related subjects including conservation of the environment and healthy living.
     

  3. The promotion of equality and diversity for the public benefit by:
     

    1. the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of race, gender, disability, sexual orientation
      or religion;
       

    2. advancing education and raising awareness in equality and diversity;
       

    3. promoting activities to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds.

Clayton Beckwith (Chair)

  • Clayton brings a compelling blend of resilience, professional insight, and community dedication to Greenpath Ventures. As a former Director of Essex Cares and trustee at Community 360, he has extensive experience in leading social care services, supporting vulnerable communities, and delivering inclusive, impactful programmes.
     

  • Following a serious car accident that resulted in disability, Clayton became deeply committed to championing accessibility and support for all – particularly those facing physical, mental, or social challenges. He also has a strong connection to horticulture, drawing on his interest and experience in growing and green spaces to further inform our work.
     

  • Clayton joined Greenpath Ventures because he believes passionately in its mission to foster inclusive, nature-based wellbeing and community resilience. His governance skills, lived experience, and belief in the transformative power of community support make him an invaluable member of our trustee board.

Anthony Cheeld

  • Tony brings over 30 years of business experience to Greenpath Ventures, having built a successful local enterprise, Sophie James Decor, specialising in high-quality decorative paint. His extensive background includes working with FTSE 100 companies earlier in his career, providing him with valuable insight into commercial operations, product development, and strategic growth.
     

  • A dedicated family man and father of seven, Tony is deeply rooted in his local community and passionate about giving back. He supports Greenpath’s mission to promote wellbeing, sustainability, and inclusive outdoor spaces, bringing a practical mindset and a strong commitment to community resilience.
     

  • Tony’s blend of entrepreneurial drive, corporate experience, and community spirit makes him a vital part of the trustee board.

Leonie Greene

  • Leonie is the former Director of Advocacy and New Markets at Solar Energy UK, where she spearheaded national campaigns to accelerate the adoption of solar power and shaped key renewable-energy policies. Earlier in her career she served as a political adviser with Greenpeace, honing her skills in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement.
     

  • After stepping back from full-time work due to ill health, Leonie discovered Greenpath Ventures and found its nature-based activities profoundly beneficial to her recovery and wellbeing. Grateful for that support, she now gives her time and expertise as a trustee, helping guide our environmental outreach and community programmes. Leonie’s blend of high-level policy knowledge lived experience of the healing power of nature, and deep commitment to social good makes her an invaluable member of the Greenpath board.

Andrew Mann

  • Andrew brings extensive leadership experience from senior roles in brand development, marketing, and customer insight across major FTSE 100 companies. His career includes executive positions at Cadbury Schweppes, The Coca-Cola Company, Tesco (as Clubcard Director), Sainsbury’s, Co-op, Asda, and M&S, where he focused on customer strategy, loyalty, pricing, and CRM.
     

  • Now Managing Partner at NorthBailey, Andrew uses his experience and network to support organisations through strategic consultancy.
     

  • He also has significant governance experience in the charity sector, having served on the boards of Oxfam, Isabel Hospice, and Greenpath Ventures. Andrew offers Greenpath a rare blend of commercial acumen and deep understanding of the non-profit sector, supporting our mission to create healthier, more inclusive, and environmentally conscious communities.

Rob Mann

  • As Operations Manager at Greenpath Ventures, Rob plays a central role in coordinating the day-to-day delivery of our community garden projects. He oversees volunteer engagement, site operations, and the development of nature-based activities that promote wellbeing, inclusion, and environmental awareness.
     

  • Rob brings personal experience to his work that deepens his empathy and commitment. After a serious car accident resulted in a brain injury, he has lived with the long-term challenges that come with it. This has given him valuable insight into the barriers many people face – especially those living with hidden or visible disabilities – and a deep understanding of the importance of supportive, inclusive environments.
     

  • With a background in project coordination and a strong passion for nature-based wellbeing, Rob is dedicated to helping others reconnect with the outdoors, rebuild confidence, and find a sense of purpose. His resilience and compassion make him a vital part of the Greenpath Ventures team.

Greenpath Ventures helps people of all abilities to connect with the healing power of nature. Based at tranquil Yarra Farm in Colchester, our focus is on providing outdoor opportunities to grow fresh organic produce, to have fun and to become a part of our kind community.

 

From a morning session tending the crops, to a whole day of tree planting or simply sharing in a meal cooked in our allotment cabin, you will be welcome whatever your ability.

 

We are passionate about including people who may be struggling with their mental or physical health, or who may feel isolated. We offer unique opportunities to get involved according to your own interests and abilities.
